Opal 3, Sheffield on target for September 2009

11th of June 2008

Opal 3 Sheffield is on target to welcome 992 students from both the University of Sheffield and Sheffield Hallam University in September 2009.  This new hall will be Opal’s third investment in the vibrant student city of Sheffield, which will bring the total number of rooms in the city to over 2,500.

Located on the edge of the city centre, within walking distance of both universities, Sheffield 3 offers brand new, value for money larger build standard extra and deluxe rooms.  The lively city centre and the renowned real ale pubs of Kelham Island are close by.

Students living at Sheffield 3 will benefit from a common room set in a historic listed building, with retention and sympathetic restoration of its period features.  The common room is listed due to its rare foundry in the basement, a legacy of Sheffield’s world famous steel industry.

A well appointed gym and swimming pool are available at the nearby Opal 2 Sheffield development, for Opal 3’s residents to relax in after a day’s studying, or a night in the city.

The show flat is set to open for viewings in January 2009.  The development features 11 blocks spread across 2 courtyards, with a bar and office space also incorporated into the site.

For those students seeking accommodation in Sheffield for 2008 / 09, Opal 2 Sheffield is now accepting bookings.  Please visit www.opalstudents.com for more information and online booking.
