Opal Property Group Limited was founded in 1982 by Stuart Wall – the company’s Managing Director and owner. Stuart drives the company’s values which underpin the company’s approach to all areas of the business. An ethical approach to business is fundamental to the continuing success of the company.
Opal is primarily a specialist developer and operator of student accommodation. The company acquires land for development and retains and manages many student flats.
Opal is the UK’ s largest private provider of student accommodation and the company currently has 17,000 student beds in either operation or development and over 500 members of staff.
Although we primarily focus on the student sector, we want to build upon our successes and develop and manage more mixed use developments. We have an innovative approach to property development and over the last 20 years, have demonstrated an ability to transform some of the most difficult sites into commercially viable and successful mixed-use schemes. The Place Hotel in Manchester is the best example of this approach.
